Itinerary

Day 1City Tour en Cusco

We will start this exciting City Tour Cusco with a pickup from our hotel in the afternoon. The day tour will begin at 2:00 PM and allow us to explore the most important sites of the city. We will begin in the historic center, where centuries of Inca and colonial history blend perfectly.

Our first stop will be the Cathedral of Cusco, located on the Plaza de Armas. We will admire its gothic style, silver altars, and paintings from the Cusco School of Art. This temple is considered one of the most important religious monuments in South America. We will then continue walking through the lively square before reaching our next destination.

Next, we will visit Qoricancha, known as the Temple of the Sun. We will explore its impressive Inca stonework, where perfectly cut blocks form walls that survived centuries. Inside, we will also admire the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Inca base by Spanish colonizers. This combination of styles will show us the fusion of Andean and European worlds.

We will then leave the historic center and drive towards the hills of Cusco. Our first stop will be Sacsayhuamán, a masterpiece of Inca military architecture. Here, we will walk between massive stones, some reaching 9 meters high and weighing over 120 tons. This place also offers us panoramic views of Cusco city.

Our day tour will continue to Qenqo, a ceremonial site with carved passages and ritual altars. We will explore its design and learn about Inca religious practices. The guide will explain how this sacred place was used for offerings and ceremonies.

Afterward, we will visit Puka Pukara, the “red fortress.” This small complex served as a military checkpoint and resting place for travelers. Its name comes from the reddish stones used in its construction, which glow beautifully at sunset.

Finally, we will reach Tambomachay, known as the Inca baths. We will see fountains, canals, and aqueducts still running with fresh water. This site was dedicated to water rituals and fertility ceremonies. The peaceful surroundings and flowing streams will give us a sense of harmony with nature.

At the end of this cultural journey, we will return to Cusco around 6:30 PM. This City Tour Cusco will let us understand the spiritual and historical depth of the Andean capital. We will finish the day with memories of powerful temples, sacred landscapes, and breathtaking Inca architecture.
